VE IVOVIK d.o.o. Sarajevo was established in April 2006, and was taken over by current investors and management through international acquisition in February 2022. VE IVOVIK is the owner of the 84 MW Ivovik Wind Farm Project in Livno & Tomislavgrad in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Project is jointly invested by Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA) and China General Technology (Group) Holding Co., Ltd (GENERTEC), with the purpose to bring sustainable, reliable and clean energy to the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is the first energy project invested by Chinese company in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is listed in the cooperative fruit of the China - Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Summit in 2021. It is defined as a significant project by the Government of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Project is located in Canton Hercegbosanske of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project site is a middle-low mountain with sparse vegetation and exposed weathered rocks, with the altitude of 1200-1450m and the annual average wind speed of 7.86m/s at the height of 100m. It is designed to install 20 wind turbines, with total capacity of 84 MW. Construction preparation started in December 2021 and officially launched in July 2022, with construction period of 18 months.
After completion, the Project is expected to become the largest renewable energy power generation project in BiH, generating 259 million kWh annually with a concession period of 30 years. It will assist the country to optimize current coal-centered energy structure, to early achieve the initiative of Carbon Neutrality, and to create direct job and business opportunities, and to deepen the economic and trade cooperation between China and BiH.
