April 28 marks the World Day of Safety and Health at Work. Safety at work is one of the five cores on which the vision and philosophy of VE Ivovik rests.

In this sense, we are taking a number of measures to protect all workers on the construction site and from the start of construction in July last year until today, we have not had a single case of injury or incident on the site.

All works on Ivovik construction site are carried out in accordance with the Law on Occupational Safety ("Official Gazette of FBIH", No. 79/2020). A supervising engineer for occupational safety from the "IPSA Institute" is involved in the work. In addition to the supervising engineer, occupational safety is supervised by two coordinators employed by the contractor.

Every worker who comes to the construction site undergoes a course on safety at work and anti-fire protection, and every worker undergoes a medical examination.

Construction machinery, such as backhoes, loaders, excavators, cranes, etc. is used on the construction site. Each machine has a use permit and is equipped with sound and light signals to warn the workers.

Every worker on construction machines is trained to run them. Cranes are tested during relocation. When working at heights, workers use safety belts and are tied with a safety rope to a solid structure. There are safety signs of prohibitions, warnings and orders on the construction site. In addition, there is an evacuation plan from every place on the construction site.

As it is a highly demanding construction project, VE Ivovik company continues to implement strict measures of protection, prevention and supervision, not only in the construction phase, but also in the next, operational phase of the project, without compromise or improvisation of any kind.
